Frequently asked questions
Please bring a photo ID, any relevant imaging or medical records (MRIs, X-rays, surgical notes), and comfortable, movement-friendly clothing. If you plan to submit a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, having your insurance card handy will make that process easier.
I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel. If something comes up and you'd like to reschedule, I'm happy to find another time that works for you within the same week, based on availability. Please note that late cancellations and no-shows are subject to the full price of the session.
For physical therapy services, I ask that all clients bring a referral from their physician, dentist, podiatrist, or nurse practitioner. This helps ensure coordinated care and supports the superbill process if you plan to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider. For performance training and online programming, no referral is needed — just reach out and we'll get you started.
Cara Chow Physical Therapy is a cash-based practice — payment is collected directly at the time of service. I can provide a superbill after each session, which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan's benefits. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Sessions take place at partner gym spaces in Manhattan. Once we've connected and scheduled your first session, I'll send you all the details on where to meet.
